NSX NEXUS HVAC UNIT RESTORATION SERVICE
As the NSX ages, the AC system will inevitably need maintenance to keep it working efficiently. The HVAC unit, located behind the dashboard, is out of sight, so unless the evaporator needs to be replaced, the unit usually receives no maintenance. What you don’t see is the foam used to seal the damper doors and block airflow through the heater core, turning to powder. You also don’t see all the debris that has been collecting inside the unit for years, which results in several problems, including clogging the condensate drain, which can cause water to drain under the carpet; clogging the evaporator, which reduces efficiency; and providing a perfect breeding ground for mold. If you have to remove the unit for whatever reason, it’s highly recommended to have it cleaned and restored. 

HVAC Unit Restoration Service includes the following:

• Upon arrival, the unit is inspected. If any problems are found, the owner is immediately contacted to discuss what needs to be done to remedy the problem.
• Disassembly of the unit.
• Thorough cleaning of the interior and exterior of the housing.
• Removal of all the foam and neoprene from the housing and damper doors.
• Install new foam on the damper doors.
• Reassemble the unit and install new foam and neoprene seals surrounding the housing’s ventilation openings. (5 different types of foam are used throughout the unit)
• Install a new evaporator and expansion valve.
• Pressure test heater core.
• Test and adjust as required the three damper door motors.

Note: The ventilation fan will require new foam on the single damper door, and neoprene seals on the mounting flanges. As part of the restoration new foam and neoprene will be provided, along with instructions. Restoration of the vent fan is available at an additional cost.

The process requires that you remove all HVAC components and ship to NSX Nexus.  Expect 2-3 week turnaround time.  Shipping of completed refreshed HVAC will be invoiced when the unit is ready and is not included in this pricing.
